March Madness, Women’s History and so much more!

Can you believe that March is here already? The end of the first quarter is almost here! Spring is springing (maybe, depending on where you live). There is so much in store for Unaltered Skincare.

Top Women Owned Businesses That We Love

Who Runs the World? Girls!!! Destiny’s Child said it best!

Happy Women’s History Month! As you should be well aware of by now, Unaltered Skincare is Black woman owned and created! If you didn’t know, now you know.

Throughout the month, please visit Unaltered Skincare on Instagram. There, we will be highlighting multiple businesses that are owned by some of our favorite customers.

In recognition of Women’s History Month, we created a list of several women owned businesses that we love! Please like, share and support all of these businesses in whatever capacity you can.

Mented Cosmetics: co-founded by KJ Miller and Amanda E. Johnson in 2017, Mented Cosmetics celebrates diversity and inclusion in the beauty industry. All products are vegan and cruelty free.

Lip Bar: founded and owned by Women color, Melissa Butler created a cruelty-free, vegan brand of cosmetics highlighting pigments made for women of color. The Lip Bar is the first Black Owned brand sold across all Target stores.

PlayPits: created by a mom tired of her son being “funky”, Chantel Powell is the founder of PlayPits deodorant. Cruelty-free and made from natural products, PlayPits is safe for the entire family to use.

Bolden Skincare: the story of Bolden Skincare is derived from the term “embolden.” Founded by friends turned sisters-in-law (the story is incredible) Chinelo and Ndidi, they saw a need to create products that brought out natural beauty that complimented the skin of women of color.

March Madness

Are you into sports? My entire house is under the gaze of March Madness, I am not all the way into the “sports ball”, but I have found a fun game for us to play!

If you were to put brands head-to-head, who would you pick?

Round 1: Fenty vs. Maybeline- who you are you picking? Me, I am going with Fenty. Fenty foundation covers the vast majority of skin tones. The hues are vibrant and so complimentary.

Round 2: Sephora vs. Ulta- this is a tough one. A whole Saturday can be lost cruising the aisles of either store.

Round 3- Eye Cream or Red Lipstick- which classic is the ultimate winner?

Round 4- Massage or Facial- why do I have to choose?

Round 5- OPI vs. Essie- classic nail polish brands.

Round 6- Golden Milk Sugar Scrub vs. African Black Soap-both are our top sellers!

Whatever products or brand you choose, remember to always invest into the quality of products used on your skin.

Your skin is 90% of your selfie.

Be You. Be Unaltered.
